Who am I?

My name is Nicholas Cox and I have been teaching English since 2000. I have a CELTA certificate and a BA in English Philology from the University of Silesia. I’ve worked with students from many different countries as well as international companies. I am proud to have helped students pass their Polish 8th grade and Matura exams, as well as Cambridge ESOL and IELTS exams.Some of my former students now even live, study or work in the UK and the USA!

General English Courses (A2 to C2 level)

For foreign travel, vacations, high school or simply for the love of learning!
Lessons suitable for adults, high school students and university undergraduates. English language courses with materials suitable to your needs and goals with plenty of communication. Students with bilingual studies at high school can also have lessons focussed on their English language subjects.

Exam Preparation Courses

Exam-focused lessons tailored for students aiming to take English language exams, including: English Matura, Ósmoklasisty, Olimpiadę języka angielskiego and Cambridge ESOL certificates (for schools, higher education and business).

Business English courses

Courses for students aiming to improve their English in practical business contexts, spoken or written. As well as focussing on general English fluency and proficiency, lessons focus on actual situations such as meetings, presentations, trade fairs and negotiations. I can also proof-read emails and other documents, subject to confidentiality.

Conversation Classes

If you need to focus on your fluency or feel your English is rusty, we can meet for conversation on topics of your choice, with feedback, notes for improvement and suggestions for further self-study.

English Philology and Teacher Training

As an experienced teacher, native speaker and English Philology graduate, I can work with Polish students who are on their path to becoming teachers who need extra or more detailed help with the theoretical subjects of their studies. I can offer assistance in British history, literature and culture; linguistics; grammar and phonology. I can also help with assignments and proof-reading.
